Check the actual credential
A professional title, a degree and a state license answer different questions. Verify the license through the Florida Board of Acupuncture, then ask what the practitioner is trained to do and how often they work with your particular concern. A profile can introduce a practitioner, but it does not by itself prove a current license or tell you how a complicated case will be managed.
Discuss your situation
Describe your diagnosis, symptoms, medicines, pregnancy status when relevant, and care you already receive. Ask how acupuncture would fit alongside that care, what outcomes the practitioner would track and what would prompt a referral back to your medical clinician. Be wary of a guaranteed cure or a request to stop established treatment.
Compare a practical plan
A useful initial conversation covers needle technique and hygiene, visit frequency, costs, cancellation terms and when to reassess. Compare answers from more than one office if you are uncertain. Acupuncture Associates lists several service areas and practitioner profiles, so ask which practitioner is available for your concern rather than assuming every profile means a current appointment slot.
Questions and answers
Is certification the same as a license?
No. Certification, education and state licensure are separate credentials. Verify the license with the Florida regulator and ask the practice to explain the clinician's training.
